A release of Samsung Galaxy S20 family is going to happen on February 11th 2020. There have been multiple leaks about the new Samsung devices and also about their prices. The popular Samsung insider Ishan Agarwal has revealed Samsung’s official renders for the full Galaxy S20 family.

This shows, that the new Samsung Galaxy S20 is going to be a serious upgrade of a Galaxy S10 family.

There are going to be four large new lenses with up to 108MP and a 100x ‘Space Zoom’ on the flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra – a periscope camera with 100x digital zoom, which is the highest yet in the smartphone industry. By the leaked photos of renders I see that all the cameras are going to be stack up on the top left cornere in a camera compartment. It is similar as Apple did on their latest iPhone. And as some of the manufacturer followed with that camera design at the back panel. I do wonder why Samsung didn’t reconsider and make a centered square with cameras on the back. That way the weight could be more evenly distributed.

On the front we can see that there is going to be a smaller centralised camera notch. Samsung also decided to stop making curved edge displays. Now they will use flatter 2.5D curved glass that we can see on most other smartphones, like iPhones and Pixels. Agarwal also confirms that a refresh rate of the screen is going to be up to 120Hz.

Galaxy S20 Ultra will also be a bit different from the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+. Ultra will have a stainless steel frame, just like the Apple’s premium iPhones which first moved to stainless steel with iPhone X. Stainless steel is stronger than aluminium, which will stay on cheaper Galaxy S20 models.

Agarwal is also saying that Samsung’s big battery upgrades are correct. Galaxy S20 Ultra will have 5000mAH battery, Galaxy S20+ 4500 mAH and the cheaper Galaxy S20 is going to have 4000mAH battery.

We also have some European prices leakage too. Galaxy S20 will start at 899 Euros. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G price will start at 1.349 Euros, but we are not sure what amount of storage will be in that price included.

Samsung is also going to ditch the poor-in-display fingerprint reader from S10 and set up a new next-gen biometrics.

And another thing that I am not impressed with… rumours are saying that Galaxy S20 will no longer has a headphone jack. RIP.
